+Joseph Spens That is a foolish thing to say (really?). Steve may not have been the engineer that worked on developing all of Apple products, yet he has conceived and spearheaded some of the most revolutionary computing ideas of our time. Apple will be fine without Steve, but it does pull the heartstrings to see him go.

+Ed Wolf Your best bet when asking for help with Google+ is to create a post in the Google+ Help community (https://plus.google.com/communities/115758385206378551362) because that is Google's official support channel for Google+.

That being said, there is no option for requesting a different custom URL than what you were offered at this time. If you are unhappy with this process, please send Feedback (in the left-hand drop down menu). The team looks at each and every piece of feedback sent in, and the more feedback they get on a particular topic, the more this becomes a priority.

To activate the Feedback Tool type an @ symbol outside of a text entry area, or click on the link at the bottom of the left side menu.

If you want additional details regarding Custom URL’s, then please see the following Help Center article: https://support.google.com/plus/answer/2676340?hl=en
